There are flaws to be sure, many of which Larian ironed out in Baldur’s Gate 3, but it’s definitely at the top of the list of games players who need even more Baldur’s Gate 3 in their life should be looking at. Here’s how former Kotaku editor Jason Schreier described Divinity 2 in his original, enthusiastic-but-conflicted review:

Larian Studios has been making the Divinity RPGs for decades. There are five total, but 2014's Divinity: Original Sin is technically a prequel, the best starting point if you want to get into the rest of the series from the beginning. It’s a lot rougher than its successors, but an excellent history lesson in the road the studio’s been on this last 10 years. It’s also on sale for just $8.
